- This service is available during the hours that the library is open.
- Reference Messaging requires that you stay online and keep the page open until you receive our response or our conversation is concluded.
Option 4 - Q and A NJ
24/7 chat service with NJ librarian
- If Mahoney Library is closed, use Q and A NJ.
- Q and A NJ is staffed with academic and public librarians from New Jersey (not CSE), but when those librarians are busy, your question may be picked up by any Q and A librarian nationwide.
Option 1 - Mahoney Online Email Reference
Email service with a CSE librarian
- Mahoney Online email reference is intended for brief research questions from CSE students, faculty, and staff.
- A CSE librarian will respond within two working days with either an answer, or a request for clarification.
Option 3 - appointment with Librarian
Schedule an in-person appointment
- Meet with a CSE reference librarian (individually or with a small group) to learn about the library's resources, or to get help with a specific research problem.
